Srinagar: Authorities have projected that by 2027-28, J&K and Ladakh may share 230-740 MW of power to other states keeping in view possible surplus capacity available from April to September in the years to come.

Besides, the documents further state that coal capacity Plant Load Factor (PLF) is expected to remain in the range of 46 percent to 81 percent for the years till 2035.
“The coal capacity PLF is expected to remain in the range of 46 percent to 81 percent for the years till 2035—reducing from 81 percent in 2024-25 to 46 percent in 2034-35—thus ensuring higher absorption of higher renewable energy,” it reads.
