Have the decency to acknowledge that you failed to keep your word to casual and daily wage workers, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari tells the Govt

Srinagar : Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari on Monday lashed out at the government for ‘beating and detaining casual and daily wage workers whenever they try to raise their voices for their legitimate demands, including job regularization and timely salaries.

He wrote on his X handle, “The government should feel a sense of shame as protesting casual and daily wage workers continue to face beatings and detentions whenever they try to raise their voices for their legitimate demands, including job regularization and timely salaries. Today, several protesters from various departments were detained near Press Colony in Srinagar while urging the government to uphold its promise of regularizing their employment—a commitment made by the ruling party during its election campaign.”

Urging the government to admit its failure, the post further states, “At the very least, the government must have the decency to acknowledge its failure in keeping its word to these struggling workers. Show mercy to these vulnerable souls!”
