BJP J&K President Sat Sharma condemns attack on Ex-Soldier and his family in Kulgam, says, ‘Pakistan-backed elements trying to disrupt peace in Kashmir’

Srinagar:The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Jammu and Kashmir President, Sat Sharma, on Wednesday strongly condemned the attack on a former soldier and his family in Kulgam district.

He accused certain elements of trying to create unrest in the region, allegedly at Pakistan’s behest, and vowed that such disturbances would not be allowed.

Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, as per news agency KINS, Sharma said, “We all know what has happened in the past few days. Bullets were fired at a former soldier and his family in Kulgam, leading to the tragic loss of the ex-soldier.”

He, along with senior BJP leader Sunil Sharma, Leader of the Opposition, and former party president Arvind Rana, visited the injured and met the affected families. Sharma assured full support to the martyr’s family and said the party would stand firmly with them.

Condemning those behind the attack, Sharma emphasized that their sacrifice would not go in vain. “Some people, acting on Pakistan’s directions, are trying to disturb the peace here. They will not be spared,” he warned. “The bravery of our martyrs will always be remembered, and justice will be served.”
