Candlelight marches held across Kulgam against Ex-solidier’s killing

No religion allows us to kill an innocent citizen : Locals

Kulgam: Candlelight marches were held at several places in south kashmiri’s Kulgam district on Tuesday in protest against the killing of an Ex-army soldier by militants in the Behi-Bagh area of Kulgam district a day ago.
People from all walks of life including civil society members gathered various places including Qazigund, Devsar, Wanpoh, Pahloo, Kulgam, Behi-Bagh, DH Pora, Manzgam, Yaripora and others places. The protesters raised slogans against the innocent killings in Kashmir. They expressed solidarity with the family of the deceased.
They said that we condemn the killing of innocent killings in the strongest possible terms. “There is no room for such acts and these acts are an attack against mankind.
“No religion in the world allows us to kill an innocent citizen and no humanity allows us to do so. The attack on the innocent civilian is an attack on humanity and we must jointly condemn it in the harshest terms,” they said.
With resolute determination, the participants called upon the authorities to swiftly and diligently identify the perpetrators responsible for this despicable act and ensure that they are held accountable under the full extent of the law.
Notably, A former army soldier was killed while his wife and niece sustained injuries after they were attacked by terrorists in Behibagh area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Monday, officials said.
