Militants, Security Forces exchange fire in Kathua

Kathua: Ahead of Republic Day, militants and security forces exchanged fire in Billawar area of Kathua district on Saturday, officials said.

Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), a suspicious movement was detected by alert troops in the early hours of the morning at TOB Moar, panchayat Batodi Ps Billawar district Kathua. “When challenged, the suspicious individuals opened fire, prompting the troops to retaliate.”

The officials said a search operation has been launched in the area—(KNO)
