CRPF ASI Dies Due To Bullet Wounds In Reasi

Jammu: An Assistant Sub Inspector with Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died due to bullet wounds in Reasi District, officials said on Tuesday.

Officials told GNS that the ASI was found in a pool of blood in his place of posting in the Katra area of the district this morning. Investigations are underway whether the ASI went off accidentally or intentionally, they said.

The deceased has been identified as Rajnath Prasad (55) of Bihar. His body has been shifted to a hospital for medico-legal proceeding , they said.

Meanwhile, Police have also registered a case in this regard, they added.
