Avalanche Warning Issued in Bandipora, Residents Urged to Take Precautions

Bandipora: The district administration Bandipora on Saturday issued a medium danger avalanche warning for areas above 2400 meters, advising residents to evacuate vulnerable zones and avoid avalanche-prone areas for the next 24 hours.
In a post on X Bandipora administration “An avalanche with medium danger level is likely to occur in Bandipora district in the next 24 hours,”
“People living in these areas are advised to take precautions, avoid venturing in the avalanche prone areas and evacuate from unprotected settlements near the avalanche path. Dial -112 for help,” reads the post.
