Infamous Drug Peddler Arrested in Safakadal; Contraband Substance Recovered

Srinagar : Srinagar Police has apprehended an infamous drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession. During naka checking at Narwara Crossing, Police team of PS Safakadal apprehended an auto driver in possession of illicit contraband weighing 104 grams.
The accused person has been identified as Adil Muzaffar Bhat, son of Muzaffar Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Bangarteng, Narwara, Srinagar. In this connection, case vide FIR No. 01/2025 u/s 8/20 of the NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Safakadal, and an investigation initiated to uncover further links and sources of the illicit supply. This action marks another step in our sustained efforts to combat drug trafficking and protect the youth from falling prey to this menace. Srinagar Police remains committed to eliminating the scourge of drugs from society and urge the public to cooperate by reporting any such suspicious activities in their vicinity.
