Moderate to heavy snowfall in J&K from Jan 4-5: MeT

Srinagar: The Meteorological Centre in Srinagar today predicted intermittent snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, ranging from light to moderate to heavy, until January 6.

MeT Centre Srinagar in a post shared on X said ,”In view of fresh snowfall,sub freezing temp & icy conditions over roads (Plains/higher reaches)”

“Possibility of heavy snow at isolated higher reaches during 4 night to 5 late night/6th morning.” the post reads.

MeT predicted light snow from January 2-3, followed by cloudy and moderate snowfall from January 4-6, and dry conditions from January 7-10.

Tourists/travellers are advised to follow Admin/Traffic advisory.
