Next December 5 to Be Observed as Holiday: Advisor to CM

Srinagar: Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, on Tuesday said that next December 5 will be observed as a holiday and the decision of the same will be taken before Dec 5.

Speaking to KNS, Wani stated that the decision is under consideration and will be finalized soon.

He highlighted the improved administrative response this year, particularly during the recent snowfall. “This time, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah ensured minute-to-minute updates were received post-snowfall,” he said.

Wani highlighted that the Chief Minister chose to remain in the Kashmir Valley during the snowfall, ensuring direct supervision of relief and restoration efforts. “For the first time, electricity was restored within no time this year,” Wani added, appreciating the efforts of the administration.  (KNS)
