24 Crore Muslims can’t be thrown into the ocean, they deserve equal treatment: Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar : After his return from the Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, Jammu Kashmir National Conference patron Dr. Farooq Abdullah Monday voiced concerns about the safety and well-being of Muslims in India.

He said that Muslims deserve equal treatment from the government, stressing that 24 crore Muslims cannot be marginalized and thrown into the ocean.

In response to a question, Farooq Abdullah as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust expressed his worries about the sense of insecurity among Muslims, particularly regarding the survey of religious places. He said he will ask and appeal to the Indian government to address these concerns and ensure their safety.

Farooq Abdullah, who has served as the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir multiple underscored the importance of treating Muslims with dignity and respect.

Farooq Abdullah said during his pilgrimage he prayed for peace, prosperity, and an end to the sufferings of people.

“We have been facing difficult times, and I prayed to the Almighty to take us out from all troubles, ease our sufferings, and have mercy on us,” he said.
