2 tourists rescued after getting lost in Doodhpathri forests

Budgam : Two tourists, who lost their way while trekking in the forests of Doodhpathri in Budgam, were rescued by the police on Saturday evening, officials said.

An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) soon after getting the information, police launched a rescue operation.

He said that after rigorous efforts, both tourists – one from Punjab and another from Meghalaya – were traced and brought to safety.

Meanwhile, the rescued tourists expressed gratitude to police and local volunteers who carried out the rescue operation.
