Baramulla : Police have arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A Police party of Police Station Baramulla headed by SHO PS Baramulla at a checkpoint established at Eco park Baramulla, intercepted one person who was identified as Roshan Ahmad Awan son of Mohd Ahmad Awan resident of Paranpeelan Uri. During the search 65 grams of contraband Charas like substances was recovered from his possession. He was arrested and shifted to PS Baramulla where he remained in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Baramulla and investigation has been initiated.
