EJCC protest against violence on Kashmirs in Indian states

Srinagar, Feb 18,: Employees Joint Consultative Committee held a protest here against assaults on Kashmiris by violent mobs in Jammu and elsewhere in India.
The employees assembled at the Press Enclave here and raised slogans against the administration accusing authorities for doing little to safeguard them in Hindu-majority city.
The protest was led by Chairman EJCC, Ajaz Ahmed Khan.
The protesting employees said time and again when anything happens in or outside Kashmir Kashmiris are made the first targets.
“No one harms non-Kashmiris in Kashmir. But on the other hand we are always assaulted,” said Ajaz Ahmed Khan.
“Many of vehicles of Kashmiris were torched and countless are vandalized and still the miscreants are not touched and given free hand,” he said.
Ajaz Ahmed Khan praised members of Sikh community in Jammu who he said helped in saving the vehicles of Kashmiris by allowing them to park in a Gurdawara there.
“Dozens of civilians die on daily basis in Kashmir, we don’t assault anyone, why are we targeted all over India?” he asked.
