First of its kind Martial arts display in Snow organized in Tourism destination Pahalgam

PAHALGAM, JANUARY 11: A unique and first of its kind Taekwondo demonstration in Snow was organized at world famous tourism resort of Pahalgam on Monday.

Speaking on the occassion, Assistant Director, Tourism Pahalgam, Bilal Ahmad said that normally we have seen such martial art display in snow being performed by the Shaolin monks. To organise it here at Pahalgam in cold winter and that too in Snow is amazing and provides a unique opportunity to the budding martial artists to showcase their skills and improve their mental and physical strength. “The excitement among the participating boys and girls is easily discernible” he added.

Assistant Director, Tourism, Pahalgam said that after the COVID-19 related restrictions were relaxed and Tourism sector opened in J&K, the Directorate of Tourism, Kashmir organized the Pahalgam Golf Tournament & festival in the month of October, 2020, as part of the tourism revival plans following which encouraging tourism activity started in the tourism destination. New Year celebrations also saw good participation of tourists and locals and we are hopeful of a good tourism season ahead this year. “Sustained efforts are being made by the Tourism Department in collaboration with the tourism stakeholders and this will continue with more focus now including in the Tourism destination Pahalgam”, he added.
