Akhnoor: Three militants were killed in a gunfight with security forces in the Akhnoor area of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, officials said here.
The encounter began when militants fired upon an army ambulance in the morning. However, there were no reported injuries from the attack.
Security forces quickly responded, launching a cordon and search operation (CASO) in the area, which led to an exchange of fire.
Sources say that three terrorists were killed and their bodies have been recovered. The search operation is ongoing, they said.—(News Vibes of India)
