In a statement issued to Asian Mail, Police official said that the police during naka checking at Seelo, one suspected person was apprehended identified as Umar Farooq Sheikh S/O Farooq Ahmad Sheikh R/O Seelo Sopore.
He said that during his search, 3.550 kgs of contraband charas powder-like substance was recovered from his possession.
Meanwhile, in this regard, case FIR No. 232 of 2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been initiated.
