Bukhari expresses deep sorrow over the loss of 7 lives in the Gagangeer terror attack

Describes the assault as an attempt to disrupt the prevailing peace

Says, ‘J&K has endured enough; they can’t bear further bloodsheds and destruction on this soil’

Srinagar: Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has expressed profound grief over the loss of seven precious lives — including six labourers and a doctor — in the horrific terror attack at a construction site in the Gagangeer Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

In a statement issued here, he said, “I am deeply grieved by the loss of these innocent lives. These labourers were here only to earn their livelihood to feed their families back home. The brutal attack on defenceless and vulnerable individuals reflects the worst form of cowardice. The perpetrators have displayed a complete disregard for human lives.”

He added, “This terror attack appears to have been carried out to disrupt the prevailing peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Such senseless violence only brings misery and tragedy to the people, who have already endured immense suffering in terms of facing deaths and destruction over the past three decades. They cannot bear further bloodshed and destruction on this soil. After years of conflict, J&K needs sustained peace and stability, and the people desperately require solace and relief.”

Apni Party president urged the security agencies to ensure the perpetrators of this heinous attack are nabbed and brought to justice.
