Pulwama: Police in Pulwama have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A police party of Police Station Litter during patrolling apprehended a suspicious person identified as Naseer Ahmad Mir son of Gulam Muhammad Mir resident of Chakoora. During checking 57kgs of Cannabis derivative (Ganja) was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station where he remains in custody.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 74/2024 under relevant sections of Law has been registered at Police Station Litter & investigation has been initiated.
General Public is requested to cooperate with police in curbing the menace of drugs from the society. We reassure the community members that police will act tough against the criminals as per the law.
