Ganderbal : Police arrested a Notorious Drug Peddler in the Jurisdiction of PS Safapora & Contraband Substance recovered and Seized.
In a statement issued to asian mail, Police spokesperson said that the police received information through reliable source that one person identified as Umar Reyaz Bhat S/o Reyaz Ahmad Bhat R/o Treesa, Safapora has hide some Contraband Cannabis like substance inside his residential house with an intention to sell it to the local youth of the area. During search, 11.276 Kgs (Approximately) of crushed Cannabis like substance (Bung Patti with top & Seeds) have been recovered, Seized and the accused was arrested on the spot.Meanwhile in this regard police registered Case FIR No. 26/2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act stands registered at PS Safapora & further investigation is taken up.
