PM Modi Embarks on 3-Day US Visit

New Delhi, Sep 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi departed for the United States today, kicking off a three-day visit to attend the Quad Leaders’ Summit and address the United Nations’ ‘Summit of the Future’.

In a X post PM Modi said, “Today, I am embarking on a three-day visit to the United States of America to participate in the Quad Summit being hosted by (US) President (Joe) Biden in his hometown Wilmington and to address the Summit of the Future at the UN General Assembly (UNGA) in New York,”

“I look forward joining my colleagues President Biden, (Australia’s) Prime Minister (Anthony) Albanese and (Japan’s) Prime Minister (Fumio) Kishida for the Quad Summit. The forum has emerged as a key group of the like-minded countries to work for peace, progress and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region,” he added.

PM Modi will also meet with President Biden to strengthen the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, which aims to promote bilateral cooperation and address global challenges.

In addition to his diplomatic engagements, PM Modi will interact with the Indian diaspora and American business leaders, highlighting the vibrant partnership between the world’s largest and oldest democracies.

Addressing the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the UN General Assembly in New York, PM Modi will share India’s vision for a peaceful and secure future, representing the views of one-sixth of humanity.

The visit is expected to bolster India’s global stature and reinforce its commitment to multilateral cooperation.
