Rajouri, Jan 1, KNT: A soldier was killed after Pakistan resorted to shelling and firing in Nowshera Sector along Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu region.
A Defense official said that soldiers retaliated effectively to the unprovoked shelling and firing by Pakistan.
He said in the incident, Naib Subedar Ravinder was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries.
The official said that Naib Subedar Ravinder was a brave, highly motivated and a sincere soldier. “The nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to duty.”(KNT)
