General Observer for Habbakadal  and Lal Chowk ACs  interacts with representatives of Political Parties, Candidates

Briefs them regarding ECI guidelines for conduct of free and fair Assembly Elections

Srinagar: General Observer for Habbakadal and Lal Chowk Assembly Constituencies, Chandresh Kumar Yadav today interacted with representatives of various Political parties and candidates in fray for two constituencies of Srinagar District.

On the occasion, Yadav briefed the participants regarding Modal Code of Conduct and level playing field ensured  for  all the candidates during the electioneering.

He sensitized them regarding the ethical usage of language during campaigning,  responsible usage of Social Media, maintaining communal harmony and  compliance of MCC.

He also stressed on them to remain informed about the uniform rate list for different expenditures for electioneering by the candidate and maintenance of expenditure registers.

The participants were also informed regarding the various activities to be conducted to ensure free,  fair and transparent elections including Randomisation of EVMS, Commissioning of EVM; VVPATS, appointment of Booth agents by candidates or Political parties and other important aspects of election.

The ROs sought presence of representatives of political parties at the time of randomisation & commissioning of EVMs.

Regarding permission for rallies or programs, the participants were told that the permission for events shall be given on first come first serve basis.
