At a press conference, Rafi Ahmad Mir, the party’s general secretary, unveiled the document, which places the restoration of full statehood for Jammu and Kashmir at its core.
But that’s not all – the party is also committed to addressing the plight of Kashmiri youth who have been slapped with public safety acts despite not committing serious crimes. They promise to advocate for their release through a one-time amnesty.
Other key promises include protecting land and job rights, facilitating the return of Kashmiri Pandits, and implementing an old pension scheme.
In a move that’s sure to resonate with voters, the party has also pledged to provide 500 units of free electricity during the harsh winter months in the Kashmir region.
