Kupwara Police Seize Large Quantity of Alcohol, Couple Arrested

Kupwara: In a joint operation, Kupwara Police and Kalaroos Police Post intercepted a vehicle at Madmadow Kalaroos, resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of alcohol.

According to authorities, the vehicle, bearing registration number JK09B-6808, was stopped for checking, revealing 166 bottles of wine and 12 bottles of beer.

Two individuals, identified as Mohd Abass Khan and his wife Mahfooza Begum, were taken into custody in connection with the incident.

The vehicle has  been seized and a case has been registered under FIR number 184/24, under section 50 of the Excise Act, at Kupwara Police Station.
