SMC intensifies cleanliness drive under Swachhata Pakhwada

Srinagar:  The Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has embarked on a mission to enhance the cleanliness and sanitation standards across the city through the initiation of the Swachhata Pakhwada Cleanliness Drive Campaign.

As a part of the campaign, SMC is taking proactive steps to ensure the cleanliness of public toilets and is mobilizing volunteers to engage in the cleaning of parks and playgrounds.

The aim is to provide residents and visitors with hygienic and well-maintained facilities, promoting a healthier environment for all.

In addition to the focus on public toilets, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation is actively involving volunteers in the cleanliness drive for parks and playgrounds. By engaging citizens in this effort, SMC aims to foster a sense of community responsibility towards maintaining the cleanliness and beauty of public spaces.

Dr Owais Ahmed while underlining the importance of Swachhta Pakhwada, stated, “We are committed to make Srinagar  clean and more sustainable city for all its residents. The active participation of volunteers and the dedicated efforts of our team will play a crucial role in achieving this goal.”

The SMC urges residents and all stakeholders to join hands in this noble cause and contribute towards creating a cleaner and greener Srinagar.
