SSG Commandos of Pakistan Army Behind J&K Attacks: Former Police Chief

Srinagar: Amid a surge in militant attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in Jammu, the former police chief Shesh Paul Ved has claimed that a large number of SSG Commandos from Pakistan Army have already infiltrated into this part of Jammu and Kashmir and others are trying to infiltrate as well.

SP Vaid as per the news agency Kashmir News Trust claimed that over 600 SSG Commandos from the Pakistan Army have been earmarked and a large number of them have already sneaked into Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the motive behind this act was to engage 15 and 16 corps of the Indian Army fully in the coveted war.

“It’s an act of war and we have to remain alert. We can’t tolerate this,” he said, adding that efforts are on to disrupt the ground situation in Jammu and Kashmir.

SP Vaid disclosed that one Adil Rehmani, GoC, SSG Commandos Pakistan Army has been organizing and directing the infiltrators in Jammu and Kashmir. “There is one Lieutenant Colonel Shahid Saleem who has already reportedly infiltrated in Jammu and Kashmir. He has activated all the sleeper cells. Two more battalions are ready to sneak into this part of Jammu and Kashmir,” Vaid claimed.

“It is no surprise the precision with which these attacks are taking place. It is an act of war and India needs to respond accordingly,” he said, adding that India can’t tolerate this.

Quoting sources, the former Jammu Kashmir Director General of Police SP Vaid said that a large number of Pakistan Army SSG commandos have been readied across the border. So far, only a few have managed to infiltrate, while the rest are expected to be pushed through subsequently. This is going to be a long haul, and we need to be prepared for anything.” [KNT]
