Cyber Cell Kupwara Saves ₹84,484 in Online Financial Fraud

 

Kupwara: The Cyber Cell of District Police Kupwara successfully resolved an online financial fraud case involving

Rs.84,484. Upon receiving the complaint, Cyber Cell Kupwara gathered evidence from the victim, who had fallen prey to a fake WhatsApp call demanding school fee payments.

 

The victim was instructed to use PhonePe, resulting in the loss of Rs.84,484. Utilizing advanced cyber tactics, the Cyber Cell managed to block the transactions and secure the entire amount.

District Police Kupwara advises the public to remain cautious against online scams, avoid clicking on suspicious links or messages, refrain from installing unauthorized apps, and be wary of unknown video calls.
