Sopore: Police have arrested one drug peddler and recovered Contraband substances from his possession.
In a statement, the Police Spokesperson said that a police party , at a checkpoint at Bagh-I-Sundri crossing Nowpora, apprehended one suspected person identified as Showkat Ahmad Najar S/O Ghulam Nabi Najar R/O Hib Dangerpora.
He said that the 118 grams of contraband charas like substance recovered from his possession.
Meanwhile in this regard, case FIR No. 156/2024 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Sopore & investigation has been initiated.
