GOC Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) Reviews Ongoing Operations in Doda: 16 Corps

Srinagar: The General Officer Commanding (GOC) Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) on Thursday reviewed the ongoing operations at Gandoh area in Jammu’s Doda district, said the 16 Corps of Indian Army.

In a statement the Army’s 16 Corps said that GOC CIF (D) visited the Gandoh, Doda and took a first-hand appraisal of the operations

“He also complimented the troops for professional conduct of the operation and exhorted them to continue maintaining operational focus,” the White Knight Corps said.

It is pertinent to mention that three militants were killed in an encounter yesterday at Gandoh area of Doda from whom arms and ammunition, including two M4 rifles, were recovered.

To scour the encounter site and other nearby areas, security forces and police have been engaging in the combing operations following the gunfight.
