Clinical laboratory, residential house gutted in two separate fire incidents in Beerwah

Budgam: A residential house, a clinical laboratory, and a gym centre were gutted in two separate fire incidents in the Beerwah area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Official sources told the news agency Kashmir News Trust that a building outside Beerwa Hospital housing a clinical laboratory, gym centre, and an Advocate’s chamber was gutted in a fire incident during pre-dawn hours on Monday.

The proprietor of the clinical laboratory said that all his equipment and other stuff were destroyed in the conflagration. “I started this private clinical laboratory in 2019 after securing a loan from a bank and today I lost everything,” Adil Ahmed said and sought help from the government and the general public.

The building is owned by one Zafar Hussain Banday, a resident of Beerwa.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and registered a case to ascertain the cause of the fire.

In another inferno, the residential house of one Shabir Ahmed Paul was gutted at Charmajroo village of Beerwa. The cause of the fire is being attributed to a short circuit. [KNT]
