Gandbal incident:-One body recovered, two still missing

Srinagar: Body of one among three persons who were missing for the last several days has been recovered from river Jhelum.

On 16  April, a boat drowned along with some people who were crossing the river Jhelum from Gandbal to Batwara in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.

However, with the swift action of river police, few were rescued and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital.

Since then search operation to find bodies of three missing persons was going on and today body of one person has been found while two bodies are still missing

An official told News Agency Kashmir Scroll that efforts are on to trace the other two missing bodies.

In the incident 9 persons lost their lives, six were buried on the first day while two bodies are still missing.
