Handwara : In a tragic incident this morning, a self styled godman allegedly killed a woman in Chogal village of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials reported.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that the assailant allegedly attacked the woman while she was walking along the road, inflicting multiple severe injuries.
He said that she was later rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The victim has been identified as Atiqa Begum (60), wife of Abdul Rahman Lone from Magam Handwara.
Meanwhile Police have taken cognisance of the incident and have initiated investigation.
