Sajad Lone seeks support of Apni Party in north Kashmir to stop “fragmentation” of votes

Srinagar: J&K Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone Saturday sought support of Altaf Bukhari led Apni Party in north Kashmir’s Lok Sabha segment to stop fragmentation of votes.

Addressing a press conference here in Srinagar, Lone said after 1975 it has been seen that 10 MP’s from north Kashmir have been elected to Parliament. He said the regional political party National Conference has reached to the House of the People due to fragmentation of votes.

“In this regard I appeal to my dear friend Altaf Bukhari to stop vote division in north Kashmir, and support Peoples Conference there to stop vote fragmentation,” Lone said.

He said if Apni Party will endorse its support to JKPC, we will support them unconditionally in other areas particularly in Srinagar Parliamentary segment.

He added we have decided it because we have done confabulations with leaders of Apni Party, and if required the deliberation in this regard will be carried out with other political groups as well.
