Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency 22.60% voter turnout recorded until 11 AM

Udhampur: In the ongoing elections in the Udhampur parliamentary constituency, voter turnout has been mixed, with an overall participation rate of 22.60% recorded until 11 AM. Across the various segments within the constituency, participation levels have varied, reflecting differing levels of electoral engagement among voters.

The highest voter turnout thus far has been observed in Kishtwar, where 31.27% of eligible voters have already cast their votes, followed closely by Doda with a turnout of 28.91%, and Inderwal at 28.56%. Bilawar also showed a strong turnout at 28.51%, indicating robust participation in these areas.

Conversely, some regions have shown less enthusiasm. Udhampur West registered the lowest turnout at just 14.05%, closely trailed by Ramnagar (SC) where only 15.31% of voters have participated. Banihal also lagged behind with a 15.66% turnout.

Other areas like Bhaderwah (26.34%), Hiranagar (26.45%), and Jasrota (26.62%) demonstrated solid voter engagement, which might be crucial in shaping the final outcomes in these regions.

These varied turnout figures could be attributed to a range of factors including voter sentiment, the effectiveness of local campaigning, and perhaps logistical issues in certain areas. The authorities have ensured that polling stations are equipped and staffed to facilitate the voting process throughout the day.
