Police, army co-chair joint security meet in Poonch

Poonch: Director General of Police (DGP) RR Swain and General Officer in Command (GOC) White Knight Corps Lieutenant General Navin Sachdeva on Friday co-chaired a joint security review meeting in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The meeting discussed smooth and synergized operations and maintenance of peace and security in the region in view of the ongoing situation and upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

The officers laid emphasis on tapping cross border infiltration activities in the region with full vigour and take imperative measures for smooth conduct of Lok Sabha elections. The officers present in the meeting were asked to maintain high vigil on the activities of suspicious and anti-national elements and maintain close coordination to thwart nefarious plans of terrorists and their sympathizers.
