Baramulla: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police has arrested drug peddler in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered contraband substances from his possession.
A Spokesperson said that a police party of Police Post Wussan headed by IC PP Wussan at a checkpoint established at Noorbagh Crossing Wussan, intercepted one person. During his search, 3.1 Kgs of contraband Cannabis Powder like substances was recovered from his possession. He was later identified as Mohd Lateef Teli son of Mohd Yousuf resident of Ussan Khoie.He was arrested and shifted to PS Pattan where he remained in custody.
“Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at police Station Pattan and investigations have been initiated”, he said.
