CBI Arrests An Official Of Sub-District Hospital, Sopore In A Bribery Case

New Delhi: The Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) has arrested an official of Sub-District Hospital, Sopore (Jammu and Kashmir) in a bribery case related to issuance of Date of Birth Certificate.
A case was registered on a complaint against an official working in the Date of Birth Section of a Sub-District Hospital, Sopore (J&K) on the allegations of demanding bribe from the complainant for issuance of birth certificate in favour of his daughter. It was further alleged that the accused initially demanded a bribe of Rs.5,000/- which was reduced to Rs.3,600/- after negotiation. CBI caught the accused after accepting bribe of Rs.3,600/- from the complainant through online transaction.
The arrested accused will be produced today before the Special Judge, CBI cases, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.
