J&K SDRF & NDRF celebrate its Annual Raising Day at SDRF Bn Hqrs Srinagar

Srinagar: The J&K SDRF and NDRF celebrated its Annual Raising Day today on 19th January at SDRF Bn Hqrs Srinagar.

On the occasion, the contingents of SDRF and NDRF jointly presented the March Past/ Parade under the command of DySP Gh. Hassan Bhat at Bn. Hqrs Bahgat Barzaulla Srinagar.

Shahid Mehraj, DIG of Police, Civil Defense and SDRF Kashmir presided over the function and took salute at the March past.

Addressing the officers/ officials and contingents of SDRF/ NDRF, the chief guest highlighted the dedication exhibited by SDRF and NDRF while conducting Rescue operations during Disasters as well as their extraordinary performance exhibited during the Shri AmarnathJi Yatra.

He also highlighted that due to climate change the responsibility and scope of SDRF will increase manifold during the coming years.

Ashish Mishra, SSP Srinagar; Atul Sharma, SSP, Commandant SDRF 1st Bn were also present during the Raising Day function. Besides, various officers of SDRF/NDRF participated in the Raising Day function including Hilal Ahmad Sheikh, Assistant Commandant NDRF SAR Team Srinagar, Mohammad Muzaffar Ahmad Khan, Dy SP and other officers/officials of Civil Defense and SDRF Battalion.
