Fresh Snowfall :Mughal Road and Bandipora-Gurez road closed

Poonch, Nov 23: The Mughal road, connecting Shopian and Poonch districts, has been closed amid fresh snowfall along the thoroughfare, officials said on Monday.
DySP Surankote Mohammed Khaliq Choudhary told GNS that the road has been closed as it was snowing in the area. “The road would be opened depending upon weather conditions”.
Bandipora-Gurez road closed after fresh snowfall in Gurez
Bandipora, Nov 23: Authorities on Monday morning closed 86 Km Bandipora—Gurez road following fresh snowfall across Gurez valley in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that the road has been closed today morning after fresh snowfall across Gurez including Razdan Top.
He said that keeping in view slippery conditions and fresh snowfall, the Bandipora—Gurez road has been closed as a precautionary measure.
Notably, the road was thrown open for one way traffic movement just a few days ago after hectic efforts by the authorities.
Pertinently, the road usually remains closed during winter months due to heavy snowfall in the area.
