“Great loss to Kashmir’s media fraternity”: Journalist Mudasir Ali passes away

Srinagar: Prominent journalist Mudasir Ali working with Greater Kashmir newspaper passed away this morning after suffering a massive heart attack.

According to reports Mudasir complained of chest pain at around 2 am in morning on Friday, he was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Mudasir a resident of Chrar-i-Sharif of district Budgam was a correspondent for Greater Kashmir for over 10 years, he was a regular writer at a prominent news portal, The Wire.in as well. His work featured in other national and international media outlets.

Meanwhile, the Kashmir Press Club has expressed shock and grief over the sudden demise of Mudasir Ali.

“The sudden demise of Mudasir, who worked for Greater Kashmir and also contributed to leading national and international media organisations, is indeed a great loss to the journalistic fraternity of Kashmir,” KPC said in a statement.

Journalist Mudasir Ali passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence at Charar- e- Shareef early today morning. Asain Mail Communication’s terms the death of Mudasir as a big loss for the journalist fraternity of Kashmir.

Mudasir was a hardworking jourrnlaist. He was working for Greater Kashmir and various national news organisations.
