Srinagar: The Srinagar- Kargil road was closed for traffic on Saturday after the upper reaches of Zojila in Ganderbal district of central Kashmir received fresh snowfall, officials said.
They said that the decision has been taken for the safety of the passengers.
Meanwhile, scores of passenger vehicles as well as trucks are stationed at Sonamarg and on the side of Kargil waiting for the nod from the administration.
