Muzafar Beigh not Contesting DDC Polls; Safina Beigh Terms it as “Fake News”

Says ‘its funny that many have fallen for it’

Srinagar 16 November (KNB): The news revealing that Muzafar Hussain Beigh is going to contest for DDC polls from Baramulla’s Kanli Bagh, is absolutely fake, Safina Beigh said.

While speaking to Kashmir News Bureau, Safina Beigh said, “it is an untrue information presented as news to the people of Kashmir and it is funny that many have fallen for it”.

“Muzafar Hussain Beigh has no such intentions and has nothing to do with this news,” Muzafar’s Wife added.

Surely a mischievous person generated the news during these election times, said Safina, adding, “we’ve written to Cyber Police to look into the matter and will find out the person who has generated this fake news”.

Pertinently, senior political leader Muzaffar Hussain Beigh on Saturday resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) led by Mehbooba Mufti. He was associated with the party since its inception in 1998. (KNB)
