Cross Border Shelling: Four civilians among six killed in cross border shelling in Uri

Uri, Nov 13 : Six persons including four civilians were killed in north Kashmir’s Uri after armies of India and Pakistan exchange massive shelling, officials said on Friday.

Reports reaching to Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that two Army men and four civilians including a lady were killed during the heavy exchange of fire in Uri area of Baramulllah district.

Reports said soon the noise of loud bangs spread in the area, a panic gripped in the area and residents started to move to safer places.

An official confirmed the killing of six persons – four civilians & two armymen – adding the another local resident has got critically injured in the shelling and has been shifted to hospital for advanced treament.

The exchange of firing from both sides was going on when this report was filed. (KNS)
