Ganderbal, Dec 5; War Against Drugs Continue; Ganderbal Police arrested a notorious Drug Peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station Lar & recovered Contraband Substance from his possession. On the directions of SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, under the supervision of Dy.SP Hqr’s Ganderbal Shri Gh Hassan-JKPS, Police party led by SHO Khursheed Awan received information through reliable sources that one person namely Yasir Ahmad Hajam S/O Ghulam Mohammad Hajam R/O Yangoora has kept Contraband Substances at his home with the intension to sell them to the local youth of the area.
Acting Swiftly, the Police Party raided the said house located at Yangoora & during search, Contraband Substance, Charas like Powder, Dry & Wet Bhung Patri was recovered from the room of aforementioned person. The recovered Contraband Substance was seized in presence of Executive Magistrate First Class & the accused was arrested.
In this regard, Case FIR No. 76/2023, under relevant sections of law stands registered at PS Lar and further investigation taken up.
General Public have appreciated the efforts of Ganderbal Police in curbing the Drug Peddlers. The stringent action against menace of Drugs shall continue in future also & culprits will be dealt under the relevant sections of law.
