Anantnag Police arrested two Drug Peddlers,Huge Consignment of contraband substances recovered, cases registered

 

Anantnag, Dec 4: Anantnag Police continuing its war against the Drug Menace arrested two Drug Peddlers and recovered huge consignment of contraband substances.

Police Station Mattan received an information through reliable sources that one Sadeeq Khan

S/O Mohd Hussain Khan resident of Satri Maidan Gopalpora Mattan has indulged in Drug peddling and has hoarded large quantity of Narcotic substance in his residential house. Accordingly case under relevant sections of NDPS Act got registered in Police station Mattan and investigation taken up, a search team comprising of SHO P/S Mattan and Executive Magistrate Mattan was constituted who carried out the search of the house. During search of the house about 11.5 Kgs of Charas Powder was recovered from the residential house of said Sadeeq Khan which was seized on spot and accused arrested. Further investigation in the instant case continues.

Moreover another Police party from Police Station Bijbehara during Naka checking at Hassanpora Bijbehara arrested one person namely Javid Ahmed Dar S/O Ghulam Hassan Dar R/O Tulkhan Bijbehara along with 10 Codine Phosphate bottles. Accused was arrested and contraband seized. In this regard a Case under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station and Bijbehara and investigation taken up.
