JKCA set to host n’tal matches from Friday

Jammu: The host Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) is all set to host the national matches at Government Gandhi Memorial Science College Hostel Ground here from tomorrow.

Member Administrator, JKCA, Brig Anil Gupta said, “JKCA is ready to host national matches and preparations are completed.”

He said the hostel ground has been decked up for the mega event and the first match of the season starts tomorrow between host JKCA and Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) in U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy tournament. The Association will also host Col C K Nayudu and Ranji Trophy matches, he added.

The JKCA official stated that the mega festival will continue till mid February, adding, “Cricket lovers of Jammu will have an opportunity to witness and watch current national and international players from teams like MP, Hyderabad, Karnataka, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Pondicherry and Vadodra besides local favourites like Umran Malik, Yudhvir Singh, Abid Mushtaq, Shubham Khajuria etc.”

The matches will start at 9.30 am, he said.
