Delegation of Department of Bio Resources calls on Asgar Samoon

Proposes introduction of Bio Resources as a separate subject at +2 level
SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 25: A delegation of Department of Bio Resources comprising faculty and students under the leadership of Head of Department of Bio Resources, Dr. Manzoor Ahmad Mir today called on Principal Secretary, School Education and Skill Development Department, Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon.

The delegation submitted a comprehensive proposal regarding introduction of Bio Resources at +2 level in school education which was thoroughly discussed besides syallabi, scope and need for skill enhanced courses like Bio Resources was also deliberated upon.

Samoon assured the delegation that all possibilities would be explored to introduce Bio Resources as a separate subject at + 2 level.

Principal Secretary asked the delegation to conduct a webinar on need of skill based courses in the education department keeping in view the new education policy 2020 (NEP-2020). He also asked the delegation to submit a comprehensive proposal regarding training of students for skill based programes with different agencies of the government.
