Amrit Kalash Yatra: Govt. Accords Sanction to Deputation of J&K Officers to Accompany UT’s Volunteers

Srinagar : A sanction was accorded by the government on Monday to the deputation of officers from J&K to accompany the UT’s volunteers to New Delhi from 26th October to Ist November 2023 in connection with the Amrit Kalash Yatra.

An order copy lying with the news agency CNS reads, “In connection with the Amrit Kalash Yatra, sanction is hereby accorded to the deputation of following officers to New Delhi, w.e.f. 26th October, 2023 to 1st November, 2023, for accompanying volunteers from the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir.”

The officers, who will accompany the volunteers for Amrit Kalash Yatra, are mostly the BDOs from different districts of J&K UT.

For the Yatra, Kishore Singh Katoch, Project Officer, Wage Employment, ACD, Kathua; Balbir Sodhi, District Sports Officer, Budgam and Vishal Kumar Sadhotra, BDO Majalta have been chosen as Team Leader for the Union Territory, Deputy Team Leader for Kashmir Division and Deputy Team Leader for Jammu Division, respectively.

“The Team Leader, Deputy Team Leaders and District Nodal Officers detailed above, shall be responsible for the smooth conduct of Amrit Kalash Yatra from Jammu and Kashmir to New Delhi and back,” reads the order.
