Srinagar : Panchayat Halqa Saidpora Sopore in Baramulla district, has appealed the Imamia Auqaf Committee to hold the Auqaf elections – for smooth functioning of the village affairs.
The Sarpanch in a communiqué to Chairman Imamia Auqaaf Committee, a copy of which is addressed to GNS for the purpose of dissemination of information, has lamented the pendency of the Auqaf elections for several years now.
Detailing out the deadlock between the previous Auqaf Committee office bearers and general masses, the Sarpanch concerned has maintained that the situation has eased off-late because of which the elections are due and need to be held in coming days for smooth functioning of the village affairs.
The Sarpanch concerned has assured all possible support to the Auqaf Committee for a free and fair conduct of elections.
